Knowing Your Identity In Christ - Jared Greer
Word of the Week - May 21, 2017
This is the second group of seniors to graduate in my time here at Grandview. I am so proud of these guys and gals! God has great plans for each and every one of them. The Lord has entrusted to each one of them specific talents, skills and spiritual gifts. I look forward to watching them develop and use those gifts to serve the Lord, build His Kingdom and make a difference in this world. What do these students need to focus on as they transition from High School to the real world? The Lord has led me to a passage that I believe is helpful in a time of transition:
2 Timothy 3: “14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whomyou learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of Godmay be complete, equipped for every good work.”
The best piece of advice in a time of transition is to keep the faith. You may have questions, experience temptations, go through trials, but through it all you will make it through if you keep your walk with Jesus the main priority of your life. Remember what you learned from your parents, this church family, and most importantly from the Word of God. Let the Word of God guide your life.
